The table top is made from a fast-growing African softwood called Thermo Avous. It is FSC certified and comes from well-managed forests.
Specially developed for outdoor use- the wood is heated to 215 degrees Celsius to make it more resistant to moisture, exceptionally stable and maintenance free for a year.
Just like tropical hardwood, the table top can change by weathering to a gradual even grey. If you prefer to keep the original colour you can treat with an outdoor wood oil.
