Home decoration ideas are abundant, but it’s the tricky corners that are often difficult to find inspiration for. If those awkward corners and empty gaps in your home are getting to you, here are the best solutions to fill them without worrying about excessive clutter.

Chairs and Window Seats

One of the best ways to fill a space is with a chair. Not only can it add a nice aesthetic touch, but it offers additional functionality to your home - having an extra chair to sit and read is always a bonus!

Armchairs, benches, and stools are great options, but if you want to opt for an even more casual and cosy feel, a comfy bean bag, like the Extreme Lounging Mighty B Fur Bean Bag, could be even better.

To decorate window spaces, a window seat could be a great idea. Not only does it fill any gaps the room may have, it can also add more comfort to your home and can draw the eye to the lighter part of the room.

Trolleys

A vintage drinks trolley can be a great use of your empty corners. Trolleys can be used for drinks, or to store pretty much anything. Adding a trolley can fill your empty gaps and give your room a chic, vintage feel. The Madam Stoltz Brass Art Deco Drinks Trolley can be an especially unique and stylish addition to your dull corners.

Lamps

Adding a floor lamp, like the Dutchbone Rif Three Legged Floor Lamp, can fill any unused floor space, as well as illuminate your room. Lamps can prove a perfect use of any empty corner, so if you have any unoccupied surfaces in need of decoration, a table lamp could be the solution.

Storage

Corners are great places for cabinets, shelves, and sideboards. By placing them in corners, you can save space elsewhere, while occupying your otherwise unused corners. You can add extra decoration to this space by styling your cabinet shelves or adding lamps, artwork or plant pots to your sideboard.

Mirrors

A big floor mirror fits perfectly in an empty corner. They can fill any unused floor and wall areas perfectly. A standing floor mirror like the Vertou Leaner Floor Standing Mirror adds a grand feel to your corner and occupies plenty of space.

If you have a smaller, awkward corner to fill, particularly in a bedroom or hallway, a slimmer mirror like the Lynton Wood Cheval Mirror is ideal.

Potted Plants

Plants are perfect for decorating every area of your home. Any empty space or corner; be it floor, windowsill, table or anywhere else, is better with a plant. Houseplants help to liven up and enhance your room, bringing in a fresh, natural feel. We have a wide variety of unique vases and planters that can refresh your empty corners.

Desks

For your bedroom, a desk or vanity table can be a practical and useful way of decorating any empty corners you may have. Add any sort of desk you would like, decorate however you wish, and complete it with a stool or armchair.

Wall Space

For empty wall spaces, try hanging a mirror or art. This not only fills space, but can add some warmth and light to any room. Empty wall spaces are fairly easy to decorate as it can take as little as a picture or two to fill them.

Hopefully, these tips will help spark some inspiration to transform your empty corners.
