This product is hand made from sustainable mango wood.

To care for your mango wood wash with warm soapy water, rinse and dry immediately.

Mango wood can be treated with natural oils, such as olive oil or walnut oil, applied with a soft cloth to prevent drying out.

The oils will nourish but not permanently soak in so please reapply after washing.

Please note adding oil may slightly darken the tone of the wood.

The mango trees are initially grown for their fruit but once they have stopped producing they can be cut down and used to create wood products. Removal of old trees makes space for farmers to plant new mango trees. This not only means that none of the wood is wasted but offers a supplementary income to mango wood farmers.
